That’s Tuba Skinny getting it done curbside. Wonderful ambling stray dogs, and a couple dancing down the sidewalk even though they don’t know how. That’s a sure sign you’re getting over.
If you’re not hip to the difference, that’s a cornet, not a trumpet. They’re very similar instruments, but cornets have a much warmer tone. A trumpet is a single diameter tube that ends in a bell. It’s a musical rifle. A cornet is a tube that gets bigger around as it makes its way to its bell. It’s a blunderbuss.
I’d explain the difference between a trombone and household plumbing, but there really isn’t any.

you know, i played the 1/2″ copper line in the high school marching band. the fingering wasn’t as hard as a trombone, but i sure did sweat the joints!
I saw Tuba Skinny live in Houston about a year ago.
All the charm of the musicians and the music, none of the filth and danger of N.O.
