A Man Who Has Nothing In Particular To Recommend Him Discusses All Sorts of Subjects at Random as Though He Knew Everything

I Don’t Perform Anymore. I’m A Homebody

But my wife and I have an understanding. If Happy Kyne calls and says he needs an additional Mirth-Maker, I’m outta here.

  1. Well, now. If this was typical of television in the 70's, I guess I didn't miss much by hardly ever watching it. YIKES!!

  2. I enjoyed this series, and Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, both set in Fernwood, though otherwise unconnected.

Maybe you had to live thru the '70s to get it.

And the movie, Serial, starring Martin Mull. Which I saw fairly soon before moving to California.

  3. Happy Kyne (aka Frank De Vol)

In addition to being a gifted "disco artist," Frank was also a 4 time Academy Award nominated composer.
…This in addition to being the composer behind countless classic tv shows…including "The Brady Bunch."

Oh yes, and also the arranger of Nat King Coles's, "Nature Boy"

    Genius

  4. BJM,

Even better, the original (early '60s):

I'd rather have a free bottle in front of me

    Than a pre-frontal lobotomy.

    Ba-doom

  5. Loved loved loved this show! Completely forgot about it – now I'll be searching clips for hours. Thanks,
    Sipp…

  6. Drdave:

This was not typical of television in the 70's. Worth watching. You'll have to take the word of an utter stranger whom you will most likely never meet in your whole life. Wish I could offer more.
