  1. I love the Hammond organ

See also Al Kooper and Jon Hammond (no relation AFAIK)for some other great artists on it.

    John Henry

  2. Mr. Bufford can cook. I want to go to the church were he plays. Playing like that, in a building full of a singing congregation, goin' full tilt – my oh my – one would be lifted right straight up into heaven.

Didn't Felix Cavaliere play a B3? Carson Whitsett did – I know that for a fact.

  3. In my senior year of high school, my dad and I did a father daughter duet. He played the B3 and I played bari sax. Lemon Drop Blues….strip club music and first R-rated musical act in the history of East Valley HS. The poor singer who followed us stuttered through her piece, she was that traumatized. I woulda been kicked out, but they gave me an honorary diploma to get lost.

  4. How could I have forgotten to mention Booker T? That man ruled the B3! Turning the Leslie on and off – man, the things I used to listen for 40+ years ago on my monaural record player…
