Context is everything. That doorway would have been considered fairly spartan when it was made. We’re getting used to seeing doorways that have no elaboration at all, so anything that makes a doorway seem important can seem out of place nowadays.

I put mine up for perusal…I hate being left out….count us in as a reluctant 51st state.
I have walked through that door in Wisconsin…or at least eighteen just like it.
