A Man Who Has Nothing In Particular To Recommend Him Discusses All Sorts of Subjects at Random as Though He Knew Everything

Come For Leon Russell On The Piano. Stay for Glen Campbell On the Banjo

You know, the squares make all the best music. Always have, always will. The hipsters don’t practice.

  1. My favorite is his rendition of The Mighty Quinn.

Say, Mr. Sippi! Could you convince the Unorganized crew to see what they can do with Leon's work?

  2. Leon was the man. I saw him over 40 years ago at Cole Field House, ZZ Top was the opening act, and he tore it up.

From sessions to backing Joe Cocker to solo work – he brought true musicianship to everything he touched. They definitely aren't making musicians like him anymore.

  3. The only "rock" concert I ever attended was Leon Russell.

Golden Earring opened that gig with 45 minutes of the execrable "Radar Love."

  4. Saw him live at Summerfest 3 years ago. Told a few stories between songs. Good Lord, who had he not played with, or had play with him?
