OMG!! I nearly fell off my ergonomically correct chair when I heard the moderator refer to the "AABA pattern"! No kidding, I used to say stuff like that when I had a band. It might have been better had I been loaded. I was making noise on keys. Were you the guy with long hair on the bass?
Hi Katharine- I did actually play a Steinberger bass like that one.
I rigged a wireless transmitter with some velcro and appended it to the butt end of it, and used to spin the bass like a propeller from time to time. It found it distracted the audience sufficiently from inquiring into whether I could actually play the thing.

Dang! You'd have to be either really sophisticated or really loaded to wear that suit!
