Before seeing the rest of the story, I thought that little bit at the beginning where he rests his fingers on the spinning tire was just brilliant. One of those touches that is completely unexpected and maybe even unnecessary, but makes the animation come alive somehow, to where you can feel the texture of the tire – the rubber ridges sending a vibration through your fingertips, the dirt, the weight of it as its rotation slows beneath the friction of your touch – even as you see him act.
