  1. Great find. His 'playing' via the piano rolls is quite a bit different than what I'm used to. So's the tempo. But here's a question you might be able to answer: Do you know if, when piano rolls are (or were) made, if the player had to do the whole piece as one, uninterrupted take?

  2. Hi Mr. Arthur- AFAIK, they recorded it in one take, but the "recording" didn't actually produce the piano roll, and it could be edited to fix bad notes and so forth before the notes were punched in the paper.
