The furniture and windows look early colonial; William Bradford?
John Alden?
Washington Irving?
It looks like a doll house to me. Something about the shadows or the scale looks off.
I know this one, because it’s right down the square from The Mariners House. Is it the Paul Revere House?
No fair being so New England centric, Mr. Sippican. (Or should that be Mr. Cottage?) I’m not likely to walk by Paul Revere’s or Mariner’s Square in Detroit.
Whose house is this? The url gives it away, but I can’t embed a photo. http://www.gphistorical.org/images/leaguepix/roseterrace.jpg
Hmm. Seven entries. Missouri, Minnesota, and New York were the first three, I think. Well, I’ll try harder. I’m saving one for last that I’ll give a real live prize for. It’s a poser.
That’s the Dodgem’ cars dude’s house. But it’s no fair askin’ me to participate. I don’t pay attention to much else in this world.
You’re right. My mistake for claiming you had an East Coast bias. Yes, it was Rose Terrace, the Dodge mansion. Gone for 30 years. Had its own dock with a lovely motor yacht. (But at least back then the Dodges actually made something, and didn’t just shuffle debt swaps around). I had a job in college working at Dodge Main. Built in 1903. Had lovely iron gates with DB (Dodge Brothers) shields.
