Positively enlightening! It’s great to find another grown man who is unashamed of enjoying a great ‘Merry Melodies’ short.
I never noticed the foot fetish aspect of that particular cartoon before today.
Ruth Anne- All the greatest cartoons only show adults from the knee down.
Wolf- On top of all the entertainment value in them, which is not inconsiderable, they are amazing cultural artifacts.
Sip: I know that. But notice how much attention the cartoonist pays to her legs…the height of the heel, the strap across the shoe, the seam up the back of the hose, the shapeliness of the gam…oh, now I’m sounding ’tished.
