Thank you for avoiding the execrable Feliciano cover of “Feliz Navidad.” I recall his cover of “Light My Fire,” hoping it was a prelude to self-immolation.

I don’t know how to break this to you, but Jose Feliciano couldn’t do an execrable cover of Feliz Navidad, because he wrote the song and recorded it first. He’s only eligible for “execrable original” status.
