Dear lord that’s some greezy funk for 1974.
In 1974, you could have gone to the big old movie theater with a huge screen and no one texting and seen The Godfather Part II and Chinatown, and then Thunderbolt and Lightfoot at the drive-in. When you got home, Sly and the Family Stone was on Midnight Special.
Other than that, there was nothing to do.

Everybody gets a pass on wardrobe and hair; it was the 70's. Except the sax guy – what the hell? And I loved Thunderbolt and Lightfoot – great pull.
Hi JG- Until Eastwood made Unforgiven and Jeff Bridges was The Dude, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot was far and away their best work.
In '74 I was spending my time in some of 18 holes in Arizona's southern desert.
What kills me is how much space there is in the not-so-loose funk. It's almost quiet sounding.
Yep the Tenor Indian looks like a reject from a Village People audition.
