Dunno, here. Doesn't look like furniture made out of cord wood to me.
On the other hand (pardon the pun), hand tools work well, and we do need the exercise.
I have a 4X2 rug from Home Depot which sheds like a Siberian Husky in a TX summer. I hand clean it, but put on a dishwashing glove before I do.
On the plus side I'd pay $250 to NOT have to crawl around spitting on my carpet. YMMV, and you might like the smell of dog/cat hair/spit.
With my knees I'll gladly spend the money and use the vacumn cleaner. It'll also keep the odd pin, tack, bit of glass, splinter, etc. out of my fingers.
