Doesn't get much tighter than that. I once saw the Pips sing the background to that song without Gladys Knight (or anyone else, for that matter singing the melody).
They nailed it.
She sure sang hell out of that song.
BTW, Gladys Knight and Ron Winans have a chain of Gladys and Ron's Chicken and Waffles restaurants. The one time I tried to eat there, the line was out the door, and I didn't have time to wait. But I should try to get back there one day. When I do, I'll just have to worry about my cholesterol next week.
