I just leaped backward 16 years in time — Thomas the Tank Engine! My now 21-year-old (who claims no memory of this) sat enraptured listening to Ringo Starr narrate the stories on video.

I'm watching two of my grandsons this week and, as we drove from their home to mine, the 4 year old was playing the "What's your favorite game." The last question of the day was, "Mema, what's your favorite word." I think this was the very first time that I had ever been asked for a favorite word. I had to think for just a few seconds and then I told Samuel, " My favorite word is love." I then asked Samuel, "What is your favorite word." He told me, "Choo, choo train." I didn't have the heart to tell him his favorite word was actually 3 words.
Tomorrow I'll show Samuel your video and I know it will be a hit with him, ya should have sold tickets.
