Today is a big anniversary for anyone born in the fifties. An event of profound importance is commemorated on this date every year now — first popularized, of course, in the seventies.
What? What the hell are you talking about? Yeah, yeah, littering is bad. But what the hell are you people picking through your trash like raccoons for, and calling it Christmas? Never mind all that. It’s Peter Frampton’s birthday!
Excuse me, I have to go cut down a tree and make it into something useful.

Re: Cutting down a tree. You could always make a Les Paul Custom. Or a Marshall Cabinet. Thanks for the clip. Who didn’t have a copy of Frampton comes alive, anyway? I wonder if his “superstardom” came as something of a surprise to him. I always thought of him as a guitar player who stumbled into platinum record sales…but what do I know?
Hi Misterarthur-
My older brother had a Les Paul “Black Beauty” with the three gold pickups and all the ivory binding like you see in the video. His was left-handed, so it was sort of rare.
His (once) girlfriend got mad at him and sold it for fifty bucks.
I liked his Humble Pie days better.
Too sweet and girly here without Steve Marriot to grit him up.
I too had a les paul black beauty (twin pickup)…a fine guitar..I make do with a les paul junior now..as an aside…Happy St.Georges’s day!
I never had the Frampton record. We were listening to Bryan Ferry when Frampton was big…
