Ann’s got a Who record with a bite taken out of it. And it’s actually a good Who record, not My Generation or something. It’ s like she has me up against the ropes, and she’s working the body now.

  1. It’s probably not an opinion that would pass muster with the rock intelligentsia, but I’ve always felt that ‘It Don’t Come Easy’ was one of the greatest rock songs of all time. It’s great!

    Do you know John and George have a vocal ‘cameo’ in Band on the Run? The song that is, not the album…after Paul sings, ‘All I need is a pint a day, if we ever get out of here,’ John and George echo the verse…

  3. Ron, your mind is playing a slight trick on you. You’re remembering that it’s not likely Ringo that wrote it, but…

    It’s undoubtedly written by George Harrison, not Ringo, although Ringo is listed as the writer.

    I’m with Mark Daniels on this one. It’s a magnificent piece of pop. You’ve talked me into it. I’ll write about it tomorrow.

    I remember all four Fabs played on “Ringo,” but everyone was quite aware not to get them all in the same room at the same time….3, yes, 4…never!
